By default, Contact Form 7 doesn’t store your form submissions anywhere inside WordPress — every entry only ever exists as an email, or as a row in your connected Google Sheet. That works fine most of the time, but what happens if Google’s API has a hiccup and an entry doesn’t make it to your sheet?
That’s exactly the gap the CF7 Database feature closes. It gives Contact Form 7 its own local database of submissions inside WordPress, acting as a safety net and a way to cross-check that every entry has actually made it to Google Sheets.
Step 1: Enable Database Storage
To start recording form submissions locally:
- Go to your WordPress dashboard.
- Navigate to Google Sheet → CF7 Database.
- Under CF7 Database Manager, toggle on Enable Database Storage to automatically save all form submissions to your WordPress database.
- Click the Save Settings button.
Step 2: View the Contact Forms List
Once enabled, every form on your site appears under Contact Forms List, along with a live entry count. This gives you two practical benefits:
- Visibility: See at a glance how frequently each form is being filled out from the front end, via the Count column.
- A safety net: Occasionally, due to Google API limitations, an entry might not make it into your connected Google Sheet. When that happens, you can find the missing entry inside CF7 Database and manually send it across.
Click a form’s name in the list, or its entry count, to open and manage its stored entries.
Step 3: Manage a Form’s Stored Entries
Clicking a form name (for example, “Contact form 1”) opens its Form Entry List Table, where you can review, search, export, and resend entries.
From this screen you can:
- Back to Forms: Click the Back to Forms button to return to the Form Listing page.
- Search Form Entries: Use the search box in the top right to quickly find a specific entry.
- Export CSV: Click Export CSV to download all of this form’s entries as a CSV file.
- Bulk Actions: Select one or more entries using the checkboxes, choose an action from the Bulk Actions dropdown — Read, Unread, Delete, or Send To Spreadsheet — and click Apply to manage multiple entries at once.
- Sort by Date: Click the Date column header to sort entries by submission date.
- Pagination: Use the page controls at the top right to move through entries when a form has more than one page of results.
Send an Individual Entry to Google Sheets
If you notice a specific entry is missing from your Google Sheet — or just want to double-check it’s synced — click the Send To Spreadsheet button next to that entry in the table. This sends just that one entry to your connected Google Sheet.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is CF7 Database?
CF7 Database is a PRO feature that stores your Contact Form 7 submissions locally inside WordPress, giving you a backup record of entries alongside your Google Sheet integration.
Will CF7 Database show entries submitted before I enabled it?
No. CF7 Database only starts recording submissions from the moment you enable Database Storage. Entries submitted before activation will not appear.
Why would an entry be missing from my Google Sheet?
This can occasionally happen due to Google API limitations or temporary connection issues. When it does, you can locate the entry inside CF7 Database and resend it manually using the Send To Spreadsheet option.
How do I resend a missing entry to Google Sheets?
Go to Google Sheet → CF7 Database, select the relevant Contact Form, find the entry in the Form Entry List Table, and click the Send To Spreadsheet button next to it.
Can I resend multiple entries at once?
Yes. Select the checkboxes next to the entries you want to resend, choose Send To Spreadsheet from the Bulk Actions dropdown, and click Apply.
Can I export my form entries?
Yes. Click the Export CSV button on a form’s entry list to download all of that form’s stored entries as a CSV file.
Can I mark entries as read, unread, or delete them?
Yes. Select the entries you want using the checkboxes, then choose Read, Unread, or Delete from the Bulk Actions dropdown and click Apply.
Why don't I see the Send To Spreadsheet button?
This button only appears when the selected Contact Form has actual submitted entries. If the form hasn’t received any submissions yet, there’s nothing to send.
Is CF7 Database available in the Free version?
No. CF7 Database is available exclusively in CF7 Google Sheet Connector PRO.
Does enabling CF7 Database affect my existing Google Sheet integration?
No. CF7 Database works alongside your existing Google Sheet setup — it doesn’t change how your forms sync, it simply adds a local record you can search, export, or use to resend missing entries.
Can I see how many times a specific form has been submitted?
Yes. The Contact Forms List displays each form along with a live entry count in the Count column, so you can quickly see how often it’s being filled out.
Can I search for a specific entry?
Yes. Use the Search Form Entries box at the top of a form’s entry list to quickly find an entry by name, email, or other submitted details.
