Tip: If you’d like to see the submission date in Google Sheets, simply add a column named “Entry Date” — the submission date will appear there automatically.

Step 5: Save Your Feed & Test the Form

After completing all Feed Settings, click on the Save Settings button.

Test Form Submission

After saving the Feed Settings, it is recommended to test the integration.

  1. Open the page where your Gravity Form is published.
  2. Fill out the form with sample information.
  3. Click on the Submit button.
After the form is submitted successfully, open your connected Google Sheet to verify the entry.

You will see the submitted form data automatically added as a new row in the sheet under the corresponding column headers.

This confirms that your Gravity Form and Google Sheet integration is working correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to connect my Google account before creating a feed?

Yes. Before creating a Google Sheets feed, you must connect your Google account using either the Existing Method or the Manual Method. Without completing the integration, you won’t be able to configure or use Google Sheets feeds.

Can I create multiple Google Sheets feeds for the same Gravity Form?

Yes. You can create multiple feeds for a single Gravity Form. Each feed can connect to a different Google Spreadsheet or worksheet, depending on your requirements.

Where can I find the Google Sheet ID?

Open your Google Spreadsheet in your browser. The Sheet ID is the long string of characters in the URL between /d/ and /edit.

Where can I find the Google Sheet Tab ID?

Open your Google Spreadsheet and select the required worksheet. The Tab ID appears in the URL after gid=. Copy this value and enter it in the feed settings.

What should I use as column headers in my Google Sheet?

Use the same field labels that you created in your Gravity Form. The plugin matches your form fields with the corresponding column headers in your Google Sheet.

Will the Entry Date be added automatically?

Yes. If your Google Sheet contains a column named Entry Date, the plugin will automatically store the submission date for each new Gravity Forms entry.

What happens if my Google Sheet column names don't match my form field labels?

If the column headers do not match your Gravity Form field labels, the corresponding data may not be synchronized correctly. Make sure the column names exactly match your form field labels.

Can I use an existing Google Spreadsheet?

Yes. You can connect either a new or an existing Google Spreadsheet. Simply enter the correct Spreadsheet Name, Sheet ID, Tab Name, and Tab ID while creating the feed.

Can I edit or update an existing feed later?

Yes. You can edit your existing Google Sheets feed at any time to update the spreadsheet details or change the synchronization settings.

Are Gravity Forms Smart Tags supported in the Free version?

No. Gravity Forms Smart Tags are available only in the PRO version of Gravity Forms Google Sheet Connector.

My Gravity Forms submissions are not appearing in Google Sheets. What should I check?

Verify the following:

  • Your Google account is connected successfully.
  • The Google Sheet ID and Tab ID are correct.
  • The column headers match your Gravity Form field labels.
  • The feed is configured and saved correctly.
  • The Google Spreadsheet is accessible by the connected Google account.

Can I connect different Gravity Forms to different Google Sheets?

Yes. Each Gravity Form can have its own Google Sheets feed, allowing you to sync submissions to different spreadsheets or worksheets.
