Plugin Settings Tab – Overview

General Settings

The General Settings section allows you to manage plugin behavior, data retention preferences, user permissions, version control options, and system information. These settings help administrators maintain security, control access, and manage plugin data effectively.

Plugin Preferences

The Plugin Preferences section controls how the plugin handles its stored data when the plugin is uninstalled from your WordPress website.

By default, WordPress removes only the plugin files when a plugin is deleted. However, plugin settings and stored data may remain in the database for future use.

GSheetConnector provides an option to completely remove all plugin-related data during uninstallation.

Delete Plugin Data on Uninstall

When this option is enabled, all plugin-related information will be permanently removed when the plugin is deleted.

This includes:

  • Plugin settings
  • Feed configurations
  • Plugin options
  • Stored metadata
  • Integration settings

How to Enable

  1. Navigate to GSheetConnector → General Settings.
  2. Locate the Delete Plugin Data on Uninstall option.
  3. Enable the checkbox or toggle.
  4. Save the settings.

Once enabled, the plugin will perform a complete cleanup when it is uninstalled.

Important : Enable this option only if you are sure you no longer need the plugin data.

Things to Remember

  • All plugin settings will be permanently deleted.
  • Feed configurations cannot be recovered.
  • Connected Google Sheet settings will be removed.
  • This action cannot be undone.
  • Always create a website backup before uninstalling the plugin.
