Keeping CF7 Google Sheet Connector updated ensures you always have the latest features, performance improvements, and security fixes. 3. If an update is available, you’ll see a notification below the plugin name.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I back up my site before updating the plugin?

Yes, always. Backing up your WordPress site before any plugin update means you can quickly restore your site if anything unexpected happens during the update.

How do I know if an update is available?

Go to Plugins → Installed Plugins in your WordPress dashboard. If an update is available for CF7 Google Sheet Connector, you’ll see a notification directly below the plugin name.

Can I update multiple plugins at once?

Yes. Click the Update Available link at the top of the Plugins page, select the plugins you want to update, and choose Update from the Bulk Actions dropdown.

What should I do if I get a 'Download failed' error while updating?

This means the standard update process couldn’t complete. In this case, follow the Manual Update steps in this guide — download the latest version from your account and upload it directly through your WordPress dashboard.

Where do I download the latest PRO version manually?

Log in to your account on the GSheetConnector website, go to My Account → Purchase History, and click View Details and Downloads to access the latest plugin file.

Will I lose my settings after updating the plugin?

No. Updating the plugin — whether standard or manual — does not remove your existing Feed, Integration, or Field List settings. These are stored separately from the plugin files.

Which license should I select when downloading manually?

Choose the license that matches your purchase — either Single Site License or Multi-Site License — based on how many domains your license covers.

Do I need my license key again after a manual update?

Usually not, since your license stays activated on your site. However, it’s a good idea to keep your license key handy in case you need to reactivate it after the update.

What does 'Replace Current with Uploaded' mean?

This option tells WordPress to safely replace your currently installed version of CF7 Google Sheet Connector with the new version you just uploaded, completing the manual update process.
